This blog post is to give you a summary of places we visited during this cruise. I will have a more detailed post about our experiences, pros and cons, outfits, and recommendations for those who wish to take a cruise in the future.

Embarking on a 10-day Caribbean cruise May have been a dream come true for many travelers, but for us, it was considered a “sampler cruise.” We call it a” Sampler cruise” because we get to visit different places and decide on where we would like to spend our next vacation.

Imagine waking up to the gentle rocking of the ship, stepping onto your private balcony to watch the sun rising over turquoise waters, and exploring vibrant island destinations. Join us as we recount the unforgettable experiences of a 10-day Caribbean cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line, where each day unfolds new adventures and breathtaking scenery.

Day 1-2: We flew out of Baltimore Washington International airport to Maimi and was transported by the Cruise line from the airport to the seaport. The journey begins as we boarded the luxurious cruise ship, anticipating the tropical paradise that awaits us. We Spent the first day getting acquainted with the ship's amenities, from fine dining restaurants to entertainments, shows, and enjoying the feel of the ocean breeze on the open decks. Day 1 and 2 was purposely for settling in and unwinding from early morning travels.

Day 3: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic – We docked in the Dominican Republic on the 3rd day and spent 7 hours exploring the towns and beaches. We did a wild truck ride through the countryside and ended up spending the rest of the day on the beach and enjoyed some Dominican cuisine.

Day 4: San Juan, Puerto Rico. On day 4 we Sailed into the historic San Juan, Puerto Rico, where cobblestone streets and colonial architecture are very common. We visited the iconic El Morro fortress, stroll through the streets of Old and New San Juan, and indulge in local delicacies like mofongo and pernil. We danced to salsa music, bought some artwork from street venders, and posed with birds.

Day 5: Philipsburg St Maarten. On day 5 we arrived in St Maarten where we had the opportunity to experience 2 different cultures (the Dutch and French) way of life. We spent some time walking downtown Phillipsburg and doing some shopping. What’s a trip to the Caribbean without a tase of the Island? Of course, we had some authentic Island food and rum punch which was 10/10 for me.

Day 6: Saint Kitz and Nevis.  On day 6 we found ourselves in St Kitz and Nevis. We explored the towns and had a much-needed beach break with lunch.

Day 7:  St John & Antigua. On this day we took a tour of Antiqua and experienced the beauty of their culture.

Day 8: St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. On day 8, we made a stop in the picturesque St. Thomas. Immerse yourself in the rich history of pirates’ museums and enjoy duty-free shopping in the bustling markets. For my readers who enjoy a great adventure, take a scenic boat tour of the island or snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Magens Bay. We enjoyed snorkeling and riding an underwater scooter (highly recommended).

Day 9: As the cruise nears its end, we enjoyed the pristine beaches of Bahamas. We relaxed under palm trees with our toes in the sand. The Bahamas offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a fitting farewell to an incredible 10-day Caribbean cruise. Don't forget to sample local cuisine and savor the flavor of conch fritters and Bahamian rum.

Day 10: At Sea. We spent day 10 on the ship as we sail back to the U.S. It was a day filled with tons of activities to do onboard.

In conclusion, this 10-day Caribbean cruise was a sensory feast for us. There were new wonders and cultural experiences in each day. From the lively streets of Bahamas to the historic charm of San Juan, this cruise gave us a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. As the cruise ship returns to the embarkation port (Miami), we are excited to have captured all the memories of azure waters, warm smiles, and the enchanting spirit of the Caribbean and share them with you. Stay tuned for more posts about this experience.

New Instagram Account.

Hello everyone!

As frustrating and scary as it is, I am excited to announce that I have a new Instagram account! As some of you may know, my previous account @MsLagbehstyle was hacked. After several attempts to retrieve it, I had to make the difficult decision to start over with a fresh account. While it was frustrating to lose all of my content and followers, I'm excited about this new beginning and the opportunities it may bring.

My new account is focused on the same content as my old account, such as fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. However, I'm also taking this opportunity to refine my content and make it more in line with my personal style and brand. I'm really nervous, but super excited about this and I hope you'll follow me on this new journey.

In addition to sharing content, I'm also excited about the opportunity to connect with new audience. My old account had accumulated a lot of followers over the years, and they were very supportive and engaging. With this new account, I hope to attract more engaged and more supportive audience.

While it's important to me to grow my audience and reach, I'm also committed to being authentic and true to myself. I want my account to reflect who I am, rather than just a collection of pretty pictures. Please feel free to share my new account, @MsLagbehstyls

Overall, I'm really excited about this new chapter on Instagram. While it was tough to let go of my old account and the connections made, I'm confident that this new account will help me reach my goals and connect with my targeted audience. I hope you'll follow me on this journey and be a part of my community once again.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this time.

As seen on Instagram and TikTok, I took a much-needed trip to Jamaica to clear my mind. Incase you are wondering if something is going on in my life, I had a mental breakdown because I haven’t traveled in 2 years, and I needed a change of environment.

Although this trip was meant to be a relaxation trip, it was also a work trip. For those who don’t get it, being a content creator/influencer means you are always working, even if you are not getting paid. This is how we bring you contents.

Let’s talk about where we stayed.

We stayed at the Riu Regae all-inclusive Resort in Montego Bay. The resort was nice and beautiful. The employees were friendly and nice, but the rooms were not impressive at all. The resort had entertainment every day, so there was always something to do. We spent some time in Negril at the Ricks café (highly recommended).

What Did We Do?

The initial plan was to spend time relaxing, but the energy was giving “get out and live it up.” And we did just that. We visited the country side and had some authentic Jamaican jerk chicken. We also visited Jam West for some motorsports adventures, and spent some time in Negril at the Ricks café (highly recommended).

We rode ATVs in the wood and rode horses in the ocean. I was disappointed with the horseback rides because they made us wear helmets and life preservers in the ocean – That ruined my aesthetic, because you know I was there to bring you some hot pictures.  They do not allow you to carry your phone or camera, because they want to take and sell your pictures to you. I hate to break it to you, but their photographer sucks. The pictures were horrible. Do not spend your cash on their picture. I wouldn’t recommend this location for excursions, but their fish patties were the best in the world. We also jumped off the cliff and watched the beautiful sunset at Ricks Café. I loved everything about this place.

Overall, we had a great time. I feel refreshed, renewed, and ready to conquer 2023.

Let’s talk about the Brand - The Name, The Products…….

It’s been a while folks, but this post is necessary. Therefore I had to drop everything to spill this tea on the brand.  A lot has changed since I last posted on the blog, and here is the inside scoop on a major change. We will be discussing (the MsLagbeh Brand).

I am sipping on a glass of Riunite for this one because IT IS A CELEBRATION BABE! By the way, if you wish to try the Riunite wine, I will highly recommend the BIANCO Italia, (Frizzy Fruity and semi-sweet). I like it and it is just perfect for me.

Anyway, lets get into why a blog post about the brand is necessary. A video would have been better, but editing is time consuming So, here is a quick blog post to help make your shopping experience on Mslagbeh.com as easy as possible.

Background

I have always wanted to have my own clothing line, but  I have never really pursued it. Maybe finance and or laziness play a big part in that, but if one, it would say finance. This, however, did not stop me from dreaming about designing my own brand. I knew that one day, I would have my own business, and I'd never wish to resell anyone’s brand or products. My intention has always been to personalize the products that I chose to sell. To think that it is happening today, is mind blowing.

The Name - Ms. Lagbeh

AS all or some of you may know, I am originally from Liberia, a country located on the West Coast of Africa. My name is a tribal name from the Kpelleh tribe of Liberia – (Neither I nor my parents are from the kpelleh tribe). The Name was given to me by an elder who lived next door to my parents (It is common to be named by elders in the community). My parents at the time of my birth decide that they were not having any more kids (which makes me the baby), that is why I was named “Lagbeh” – THE Last One – but certainly not the least. I appreciate the uniqueness of the name so much so, that it had to be branded..

The Brand

MsLagbeh is inspired by my mother, to whom the first collection is dedicated. My mother was not just a mother to me, she was a fashion icon whom I so admired. As a child, I was under the impression that the type of career you pick determines the way you dressed for work. That was kind of right because that is the in most careers today. My mother worked at a bank, and she would dress her butt off every day for work. Her style which I considered to be classy and professional,  inspired me to be just like my mother when I grow up – Like, get a job as an accountant, a lawyer, an Entrepreneur, etc... Any career that would allow me to wear high heels, was on my list of career goals. (Fun Fact) While most were thinking of a high-income career, it was  a high fashion career for me.

My mother was a sucker for shoes. She wore pumps to work every day.  She had 2 colors that she wore faithfully (black and navy blue). She wore these 2 colors because they were appropriate for work and not too flashy. There were times I would walk around in her shoes when she came home from work. I would have her bag on my shoulder and walk up and down the hallways of our 3 bedroom home. That did not last long, because my feet grew bigger. (bummer☹).

MSLagbeh was founded to honor my lovely mother, and feature all the shoes she loved. The first collection is the Kadie pumps, which is named after her. The pumps will be launched in 4 colors (black – the all-time classy pumps, Nude the elegant pumps, pink the perfect chic pump, and green – the bold and bright pump).  These 4 colors were chosen so that you can have options with your style. The pumps can be worn with any outfit of your choice. The Kadie pumps are here to stay because they can be classy, professional, chic and bold just like my mother.

The Collection

There are 4 styles in the collection. The first style that will be available for purchase on June 19th is the Kadie pumps. The shoes are designed in the United States and Manufacture in Turkey. They are handcrafted by professionals. The materials on all the shoes from the line is Genuine cow leather. The outsole is all manmade material with slip proof and the insole is made with cushion for support.

This collection also include the Mimosa Mornings Sunglasses. Why the sunglasses? As we al know, everyone can use a good sunglasses – so this was a no brainer that sunglasses would be included in the collection. The shades are inspired by a cat eye frame. Using a high-quality acetate frame,  the Mimosa Mornings sits comfortably on the nose and does not slide.  The Mimosa Mornings comes in four colors (clear, black, brown and tortoise Shell) It can be worn It by everyone. The shades Fits well on all face shapes and is polarized to protect against the sun and glare.  It is called the Mimosa Mornings because it is stylish for all occasions and is perfect for any time of the day. .

Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoy reading this. Please feel free to ask me any question about the products  mentioned this post.

With lots of Love!
