The holiday season is officially here! Shout out to my husband for taking care of all the Christmas shopping this year. There are few things that I still have to get. After all, Christmas will not be festive for me if I do not do some shopping. That’s why I’m doing my Christmas shopping online this year. I will also be sharing a few of my tips that will help you save money and time while shopping for your love ones.

Anyone who knows me, knows that surprising my family and friends with gifts is one of my love languages. Although I will not be seeing some of my family this year (Thanks to aunty Rona), I am still getting gifts for everyone.

So, let’s get into a few tips

  1. I set a budget every year. I might go over a little, but that’s rare.
  2. I ask my family and friends what they might want or could use for Christmas

Even though I like to surprise my love ones, it’s okay to ask them directly what they want. They will give you several items, try to remember one. For those who do not know what they want, make suggestions to them.

      3. I Create a list of gift ideas

Put a short list of items that you know people will use. Refrain from buying gifts that you like for people. Understand that everyone does not have the same taste. You want them to love and use whatever you give them, not turn it into a dust collector.

HERE ARE FEW GIFT IDEAS

  • Sleep (pjs sets, slippers, blankets, head wraps, sleeping mask, night lights)
  • Makeup (brushes, lippies, make removal, makeup bags)
  • Bath (bath bombs, hand soap/lotion, bath oil, towels, robes)
  • Kitchen (topper ware, decorative towers, cooking/baking utensils)
  • Kids (arts, games, books, or toys)
  • Home office (inspirational wall arts, pens, journals, desk decors, coffee cups)

       4. I Start adding items to my shopping cart and save cart for later

       5. I take advantage of every coupon that is available

       6. Last but not the least, I compare prices with other retailers before hitting that “complete purchase” tab. Always, always compare prices. Some retailers might be having sales at the moment.

Now more than ever, you might want to consider shipping times. Some online stores are really backed up in shipping and may take up to 3 weeks before you get your items. So be sure to read their shipping and handling policies for the holiday and covid. One tip for on time delivery is to make your purchases by the 15th in order to revieve your items before Christmas. If you do not meet this deadline, you will have to pay extra for faster delivery.

HERE ARE 2 THINGS THAT I'M HOPING SANTA WILL BRING ME.

I have been watching the cocktail Keurig for some time now. It has been sitting in my shopping cart since October, but I have the feeling that I will be getting it for Christmas, so I refused to click on that "place your order" button.
