Let me tell you how my husband tried to discourage me from wearing a robe for a dress but later became fascinated with it after I got dressed. I had a nice in-home dinner planned for his birthday and I was going all out. You can bet on it that I asked him to get dressed up for his birthday dinner set for 2.
By the way, this is considered fun times for me. I look forward to celebrating every little event or milestone with him. I gave up going out or may I say "hanging out" with friends way before the pandemic, I guess that is why I'm a prude these days. I don't believe it is because I am getting older, It is simply because I find spending time with my darling husband more fun. A typical fun day for me, is lounging around the house and laughing at my his jokes and his smart ass comments.

Every time I tell people how much I hate in-store shopping, they give me a stare like i am crazy. Believe me, I have absolutely no patience for shopping, especially with others. I am that friend who sits at the front of the store with all attitudes showing on my face, waiting for you to be done. I have to have a purpose to go to a store, I don't just go shopping because I'm bored or stress, I have to need something before going to the store.
Let me just tell you how I almost miss out on this beautiful dress. A department store was going out of business, and this was their last week to liquidate everything. I called my girlfriend and told her about the store closing and all of the good deals they may have since it was the last week. I called her because she is working on opening store and all of the fixtures in this store were on sale, I mean if you stood in the store more than five minutes, they would put a sale tag on you as well (just kidding). Anyway my friend drove 2 hours to check out the deals that were being offered in the store. I took her to the store and this ended up being an all day event. The store is located in a mall. I left my friend in the store after the first 30 minutes and went to walk around the mall. I came back an hour later and she was still buying stuff. I left her in the store again and went home, took a nap did some chores and waited for her to call me., but she did not call. i went back to get her after 2 hours of nap, This lady was still shopping
The truth is, I reserved this day for her, so I had nothing else planned that day. I got in the store and she said "I found a dress for you, I gave it to the cashier to hold". I immediately responded with 'I don't want a dress, i'm ready to be out of here. She was so polite and patient with me, she convinced me to just take a look at the dress, I was being so rebellious that I did not want anything to do with shopping. I however walked over to the cash register and asked to see the dress, without even asking for a price, I told the cashier that I wanted the dress.
